Role: Senior software Test Analyst

Location: North London - Kings Cross / London Euston

Working Plans: Remote with 1 day a week in office

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + share options

We are working with a tech start-up that describes themselves as a community-driven platform that helps owner-led businesses save time and money and understand, embrace and manage the essential tech and tools they need to succeed.

Currently there are 10 staff, with high-growth plans to expand to over 40 over the next 2 years.

They are now looking for the first Senior Test Analyst to work with new technologies on an innovative platform. In return, we expect you to deliver and execute high-quality test plans and support the development and deployment of our platform.

You will be working in an agile and collaborative environment, alongside our platform architect, development team, product owner, design team, programme manager and business advisors. The role will allow you to work predominantly from home but will require regular face-to-face meetings.

Essential skills and experience:

• Extensive software testing experience
• The ability to design, create and execute test plans for a full-stack platform encompassing web and app front-ends, middleware components, and third-party services.
• Strong experience with a range automated testing tools.
• A background in conducting functional and performance testing for applications with high transactional volumes.
• Problem solving ability with analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability and desire to learn new skills.

Desirable skills and experience:

• Experience of testing billing systems.
• Experience of testing telecoms systems (ideally focussing on mobile telephony).
• Experience of coordinating security testing and knowledge of the constraints imposed by GDPR and PCI legislation.

Advantageous skills and experience:

• Knowledge of, and experience with, cloud-based development (ideally using AWS).
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
• Experience of test-driven development.
• Experience with infrastructure as code.
• Experience of testing content-based systems using CMS technology.
• Experience of systems with community or social media elements.
