Scrum Master - Agile Project Manager

Salary: £45,000-60,000

Location: Birmingham city centre

Working: You will be required to work in the office full-time for the first 3 - 6 months with a view of going hybrid there after. This is to build the product and create and evolve the culture within the tech company.

Required by a brand new fin-tech team that is being built in Birmingham city centre. They are an innovative and collaborative fintech business that has a suite of products from a B2B point of view.

Applicants should have:

• Experience of managing technical IT project
• Worked in a small start-up and taken it past MVP to launch.
• Applications development
• Experience of supporting and coaching more junior team members
• Qualified Scrum Master * Financial services
• Azure DevOps or AWS DevOps
• Qualified to degree level - not essential
• Experience of managing near shore and offshore teams of developers
• Experience of working with, and managing third party companies to deliver projects * Experience of using Jira and Confluence
• Experience of API development projects
• Experience of working with cloud based technologies

As a hybrid Project Manager and Scrum Master you will form an integral part of the Project Management function, providing expertise in planning, leading, organizing, and motivating an agile team to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering change within the underwriting and claims portfolio.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• DevOps/Agile - result-oriented, a critical and strategic thinker, be highly organized, have an ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines, be a team-player and team-builder, work comfortably in constantly evolving environment, and demonstrate calmness and composure in times of uncertainty and stress.
• Project Planning and Management - Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects
• Team Management - Assist in team development while holding team accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members
• Project Status Reporting and Financial Management - Provide a monthly report to Senior management via the project Support Office (PSO) detailing the current status of work in progress and planned. Record the finances of the project provided accruals and project forecast data for including in the monthly finance pack
