Location: Aston, Birmingham - hybrid working

Salary: £40k - £50k

CX Squared have partnered an up-and-coming Digital Web Agency based in Aston, Birmingham and we're looking for PHP Web Developer with experience of OpenCart to join them.

This is a very rare opportunity for someone to take the lead and sculpt the OpenCart projects alongside the PHP web projects and define the client expectations alongside the project team as you want it. The growth plans are in place, we already have good clients waiting, so everything is in place for a developer to come in and hit the ground running.

Why join them??

You'll be working in our friendly and professional offices based next to Three Bridges station. You will be joining the company just at the right time as we look to expand and grow. For the right person this will a very rewarding and exciting position as we move to the next stage of the company.

You will be working in a fun, friendly team environment with the ability to develop personally and grow with the company. Salary will be dependent on experience but in the range of £40k - £50k.

Responsibilities

You'll be working on exciting projects that will include:

  • Developing exceptionally good ecommerce websites.
  • Have a solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL
  • Have implemented OpenCart sites, including developing custom plugins for the platform
  • Have a good understanding of securely integrating databases into a back-end
  • Have a willingness to dive into platforms and code-bases you might not be used to
  • Develop with accessibility in mind
  • Develop modular code and components that can be easily reused
  • Understanding of multivendor processes
  • Ability to work with the Stripe Split Payments API

About You

Your MUST have OpenCart development experience and be keen to work in a hybrid working environment initially whilst you understand the culture and working environment of the business. You will already have 2+ years' commercial clean PHP programming experience and code in your spare time just for fun, with a strong interest in all aspects of computing. You may be a Linux, Windows or Mac user and have probably been known to dabble with the Raspberry Pi, you may even have a favourite Computerphile presenter. You'll be comfortable working with any software programs as required - if you don't know it, your Google-Fu is second to none!

Send your CV to Dan Rodrigues asap as this is an urgent permanent role and therefore we can interview immediately.
