Operations Delivery Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

Location: Birmingham Business Park

Hybrid working - 3 days office based

CX Squared are partnered with an end-to-end software as a service artwork and packaging tech company who are looking for a business critical role - someone who can take full control of the operational side of their data and artwork function.

The Purpose of the Job:

This is a critical professional service where the department take on of new customer's existing artwork, labels, templates and data and the onboarding/migration of this into our client's software solution. This service is delivered by a team of graphics and data migration professionals who are responsible for all the tasks from understanding the customers existing artwork, labels, templates and data and then migrating/rebuilding that as new artwork, labels, templates and data in the software. This is done using a mixture of both automated and manual processes.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • You will be accountable for the overall management and leadership of the team and 3rd Party Partner
  • You will also be client facing and the postholder will need to have experience in liaising with clients and managing their expectations
  • You will be required to run a team, managing workloads and metrics to show this, managing budgets, managing suppliers plus delivering to measurable targets.
  • The primary success factor of this role is being able to manage and operationally run the department
  • Ensuring that the team has a clear understanding of work demand, daily output and performance
  • Accountability of all AADS outputs and performance in line with contractual commitments
  • Establishing and maintaining metrics to allow management visibility of performance of the output of the team
  • Management and delivery of all work demands to target dates and volumes and of all risks and issues for delivery
  • Management and upskilling / training of all staff including the 3rd Party Partner team
  • Development of a training / induction programme and associated materials to successfully train new or existing staff Development and management of AADS workforce / resourcing forecast and plan
  • Continuous monitoring of department performance against project targets
  • Input into the sales process, assisting with the scoping of new pieces of work
  • To build strong client relationships for the duration of the project(s) and to build effective working relationships with our customers, playing an active role in customer meetings
  • Attend Regular client calls alongside Project Manager to review project progress
  • Document and communicate enhancement requests and bugs on behalf of the client to the product management team
  • Identification of opportunities for continuous improvement to drive efficiencies within the migration approach and methods; including import technology

Experience needed:

  • Worked in a technology or software environment
  • Experience of managing a team of subject matter experts
  • Experience of Supplier management of 3rd Party Partners
  • Experience of documenting processes and delegation of operational tasks
  • Experience of monitoring of project deliverables vs SOW
  • Ability to understand client migration requirements and work with project management to plan the tasks required to deliver them
  • Experience of managing the allocation of tasks and deliverables to team members
  • Experience of managing off-shore teams - highly desirable
