Job title: IT Support Engineer

Location: Client based at Birmingham Business Park

Salary: £16,000 - £26,000

Working: Hybrid - 3 days in the office / 2 days remote

We are looking to speak to an experienced IT Support Engineer who ideally has experience within a SaaS environment where you will be supporting around 65 - 70 users in both the UK and off-shore.

This role will suit someone who is looking for a junior IT Support role or a second job after school / apprenticeships.

Role Purpose:

The post holder is responsible for supporting the Head of IT & Infrastructure in ensuring that the Company's network and cloud infrastructure and associated systems run smoothly and perform within agreed targets.

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be expected to provide day to day support to internal framework which includes workstations, desktop and laptops with local and remote users. The infrastructure is largely Cloud based which includes AWS relating to company software and Cloud services. Software Deployment Pipeline which requires support with the delivery of software into the Cloud as a member of a newly formed DevOps group.

Essential Skills:

  • Have experience of working in a 1st / 2nd line IT support role.
  • Supported Windows and Linux environments.
  • Worked with general IT support of Networks, Printers and Desktops/Laptops.
  • Experience of working within a technology / software as a service environment.
  • You will need to have great customer awareness.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will need to be well organised and be able to provide great attention to detail.
  • Create and maintain high quality technical documentation and provide accurate customer specific reports.

Core responsibilities:

  • Understanding and handling customer needs.
  • Identifying problems and providing solutions in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to deliver solutions in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring the company's cloud services run as smoothly as possible.

Due to the nature of the client base, you will be required to be on client sites from time to time - post Covid but will be remote and working from home even after the pandemic calms down.
