Role: Smart Energy Solutions Consultant

Location: Birmingham - UK Travel will be required.

Logistics: 50 / 50 split from office vs site visits

Salary: £55k - £75k - d.o.e

CX Squared is supporting a Smart Energy systems technology provider who are changing the modern approach of power supplies. This person will help supervise sub-contract installers as well as site surveys whilst also project managing the solution design and implementation of their smart energy solutions on sites across the UK.

Responsibilities:

• You will work with their customers to develop smart energy solutions
• You will work alongside the sales and operational teams to come up with bespoke solution designs that will help solve problems for their customers.
• You will have the opportunity to help grow this smart energy solutions start up
• You will conduct site inspections and in some cases site surveys
• Creation of solution designs and proposals whilst working closely with the sales teams when scoping out solutions and estimates for new projects
• Experience of post implementation support and changes where required by customers.
• Supervising installation 3^rd party teams

Skills / knowledge:

• Have experience in an electrical engineering degree or mechatronics discipline
• You will have worked as an electrical engineer, ideally in an energy company
• Experience of working for a smaller start up / scale up in the industry
• Working understanding of smart grids, energy flexibility markets, demand side response, virtual power plants,
• UK energy codes and decarbonisation planning and reporting
• Comfortable using software including the Microsoft suite of products, Visio or equivalent.
• Previous project management skills would be highly beneficial
• Creation of electrical single line diagrams to support deployment of solutions
• Residential and commercial smart energy systems design experience
• Process design/data flows/API integrations at application level
• The ability to plan, time manage and prioritise projects
