IT Application / Security Engineer

£35,000 - £40,000

Location: Birmingham Hub - Remote or Work From home

Over lockdown, we have supported an exciting IT and Infrastructure business through some pretty phenomenal growth. They have doubled in size, reaching 85 and due to a couple of new projects are looking to build an application and security vulnerability management team in Birmingham City Centre.

Your responsibilities:

These will commence

• Management of the Windows 10 "gold" build ensuring it is maintained and updated in line with Microsoft releases
• Packaging and delivery of monthly Microsoft security patches via Configuration Manager
• Packaging and delivery of software applications via Configuration Manager
• Create and maintain high quality technical documentation and provide accurate customer specific reports

Essential Experience/Technical Requirements

• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Window 7 and 10 desktop operating systems
• Expert knowledge of SCCM/Configuration Manager
• Ability to execute SCCM Packaging and sequencing experience
• CAB experience with the ability to raise changes to resolve vulnerabilities
• Security / Vulnerability Management Experience
• Forcepoint Experience configuring, maintaining and Querying
• PowerBI experience for Reporting / Analysis
• Experience of managing Microsoft Active Directory
• Good understanding of Microsoft server operating systems
• An understanding and appreciation of application and OS deployment mechanisms
• Experience in developing and maintaining an MS desktop build using Configuration Manager
• Experience of using Intune to manage endpoint resources
• Experience in capturing and deploying software using Configuration Manager and Intune

Highly Desired Experience:

• Agile working environment experience
• Experience of Mac OS and iOS devices
• Experience of creating high quality technical documentation
• Security Qualifications SSCP/SANS other relevant skills /qualifications Relating to Vulnerability Management /Security
• Previous use of Qualys for the purposes of Vulnerability Management and Vulnerability Remediation
