Job Title: Application Support Engineer - L3
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £35k - £50k
The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for 3rd line technical support analysts, promoting best practices, processes and standards, providing technical leadership where necessary. This will involve monitoring, improving, and maintaining consistently high service levels across the software portfolio, driving the most proactive approach possible, encouraging, and facilitating cross-team and cross-departmental collaboration.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Assist customer support staff with resolving customer issues
- Provide internal guidance and training on the application and technical environment
- Manage critical and highly sensitive issues through to resolution
- Remain current with company products, initiatives and trends in the financial services industry
- Analyse workload and recommend improvements and manage stakeholders expectations
- Continually enhance the teams' skills around issue resolution, client satisfaction, and troubleshooting
- Good time management skills and adhering to deadlines with SLA
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to help others, lead and facilitate change
- Contribute to team performance to achieve key performance metrics related to productivity andsatisfaction
- Working on special projects, as assigned
You will ideally have :
- Proven experience working in UI or Product design function within a lean, agile and start-up environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to interact and influence at all levels in the organization and able to discuss technical issues with non-technical colleagues
Technical experience with some of the following tools:
- Spring boot
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
- Node JS
- Java Script
- JSON
- React
