Software Delivery Manager
Role: Software Delivery Manager
Salary: £40k - £50k
Location: Birmingham / Hybrid working

Within this business, Software Delivery Managers also act as a customer success manager, being responsible for providing the bridge between the customers and their internal software development team.
They work with a range of project management tools to ensure that projects are communicated well, delivered on time, and most importantly, put a smile on their customer's faces. The role requires outstanding project management, communication and leadership skills combined with the emotional intelligence to work with both the UK team and their offshore team in Asia.
Responsibilities:
- As the Project manager, your first priority will be to coordinate the team of project leads in order to deliver Projects on time and with quality. This will involve coaching, growing capability, open communication, best practices, and enabling continuous improvement.
- You will oversee the project leads working on a wide variety of different projects at any one time spanning a broad range of industries.
- You will manage your own smaller caseload of client projects.
- Effective communication and the ability to adjust the frequency and style of communication to match the requirements of the client and various stakeholders is essential.
- Ensure project plans are created and managed for the software development life cycle for each client
- The ability to delegate work appropriately in order to maximise efficiency.
- Assess any on-going requirements or opportunities to provide additional services to the client. i.e. support & maintenance, new projects
- Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions against the defined Statement of Work for each project.
- Maintaining your own technical knowledge through learning and continuous improvement
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience of Agile and moving to Agile is highly preferential
- Proven experience of managing projects in a software development environment
- Leadership skills and experience in client account management.
- Experience of team oversight and coaching
- Experience of dealing with external stakeholders
- Understanding of business processes within a software development environment
- An understanding of Agile Software Development frameworks
- Nice to have experience of working with offshore teams
- Highly experienced in interpreting and understanding project management documents
- Experience in negotiating financial contracts and requests for Change with customers
