Senior Systems Engineer / Systems Administrator
Location: NYC - New York City
Working: Hybrid - 2 days in the office
Salary: $100k - $120k
CX Squared have gone international, supporting a global brand that are in the fashion and sports industry! We are responsible for finding local New York talent to find their next role in an infrastructure capacity working for a brand who are over 40 years old and super well-known!
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Assist with responding to and resolving elevated help desk requests, by providing technical support for requests for both hardware and software issues our users encounter
- Define, prioritize, and resolve all support requests and projects in an organized, efficient and expedited fashion.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
- Perform patch management in server & user environments.
- Create and maintain configuration documentation.
- Manage endpoint applications such as Office365, Adobe CC, and ESET Anti-Virus deployments
- Research, recommend, and implement innovative technical solutions where possible to automated approaches for administration tasks
- Develop and maintain the methods for preparing operating systems for PCs via Autopilot and Macs via Jamf
- Coordinating and communicating with vendors and service technicians to resolve hardware/software issues
- Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security
- Ready and Troubleshoot Audio/Video systems for presentations
DELIVERABLES:
- Support Microsoft Infrastructure: Windows Server 2019 Hyper-V Cluster, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Sharing and Permissions, Group Policies, WSUS, WDS
- Support Microsoft 365 environment: Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc…
- Implementing and MDM platforms: Microsoft Endpoint Management /Intune, Jamf
- Support both Android and iOS mobile operating systems.
- Co-manage Microsoft Azure Cloud IaaS & PaaS VMs and Services
- Creating and maintaining IT configuration and knowledge base documentation.
- Support Desktop Operating systems: MAC OS, Windows 10/11
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience and formal training. Professional IT certifications are highly desired.
- 6 or more years of experience supporting corporate computer users, applications, and phones in a technical support role.
- Azure experience
- Solid understanding of user and server administration, networking concepts and endpoint management.
- Experience with Firewalls - ideally Fortinet
- Advanced level of understanding of Microsoft Windows 10/11 and MacOS.
- Advanced understanding PowerShell, CLI
